Here in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in mid-October and this year we have a lot to be thankful for...
1. A New Home:
With a recent move for our family, our new house is finally starting to feel like a home. We downsized and donated or sold a lot of stuff. It has been fun and challenging to find the perfect pieces that make our home perfect for us. You would think that owning a store specializing home decor would make that part easier!
2. Good Food and Family to Share it With:
Our family is small and lives near and far. We usually do a low key turkey day with all the fixin's. A turkey of course, my Grandma's famous stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, a root veggie and of course pie! There is always pie!
3. Colours of The Season:
Fall is my favourite season. I love the bold coloured leaves, pumpkins and gourds and cozying up our home with more texture. A first for me, having walls that are white or very pale shades of grey that read as white. It is nice to be able to add colours of the season to become the focal of our home.
I've added some muted colour with hand painted dollar store pumpkins that we did during our Cottage Paint Pumpkin Painting Workshop we help last week.
4. A Growing Business and the Best Customers:
I have always said that Marni LuHu has the best customers, and I mean it. Since we opened our doors in our current location over four years ago, our community and area have been so supportive and allowed our dream to become what it is today. for that, I THANK YOU!
